Prep for CTNX and Such

So, I've been super busy getting ready for the great CTN expo.  For those who don't know, it's a big expo dedicated to the Animation Industry. That means I've updated my portfolio! :D I submitted it in the RBR event they hosted, and I was able to get an interview with Sony Animation.  It's scheduled for Sunday so, wish me luck. :)  If you'd like to check out my updated portfolio, simply click on this link: www.alexandravo.blogspot.com

Other than that, I also had my 7 year anniversary with my boyfriend.  I made him a small sculpture of us in a little jar.  It glows in the dark. :) Once I get pictures, I'll be sure to upload those.

And now onto school...

In Western Civilization, we've moved on to more of the history aspect of the class.  It's been 8 years since I've taken World History in high school, so I'm pretty much relearning everything.  Unlike before, I now find the history on different wars fascinating.

As for 3d Modeling for Animators, I'm still working on my character and prop. Hopefully I'll have something to show for that by the end of the semester.

As for my Peter Pan project for my Character Design class, I've done a few since my last post.  First is an update of my Tiger Lily, and then there's Captain Hook, Peter Pan, and some rough ideas for Tinkerbell. Enjoy!

Then in Animal Drawing, we've been pretty much doing more animal structure studies. Since midterms are over, we have also been getting ready to work on our final projects.  I hope mine will turn out well. :X

As for layout, we've taken the story boards from the Disney Hercules sequence where he leaves his parents to find out who he is and put our own characters into that situation. We then made a work book for it.

And then as of now, we had to choose one environment from the workbook that's a multi-plane and had camera move to make for our final layout.

Well, that's it for now.  I hope to run into some old friends and to make new ones at CTN! Bye. :D
